Was at a spot we had permission to hunt in Ms and located some birds after going in blind.

Got set up and they get hush lipped after fly down, I get a hen talking so we went back and forth till I could her them scratching in the leaves.

Then that WHITE head pops up and starts heading to the decoys, It stops behind a tree and then decides something ain't right. Oh so close, All I needed was 2 more steps.

They hang are for a while scratching and yelping.

Then alarm puts and we see 1 fly outta there.

Yea it was a Sow

2 turkey hunts this year and I've let the 20ga bark twice, coyote on the first trip and this AM's hunt with the pig
She "might" have been 20 yards out
????? Dunno??? No coyote no pig

Went back to the same spot today, got setup within 100 yards of the roost.

He only gobbled 5 times this AM.

I did a few tree yelps and he answered, did a flydown cackle and he gobbles again, I didnt call anymore but was scratching in the leaves.
I hear him fly down and my heart started beating so fast.

That White head pops into view and here he comes.

Was back at the truck at 7:00, my quickest hunt ever!
