I know some of you don;t have face book, but the TWRA posted this on their FB page. It may be on the main site.

They have captured birds in Lawrence, and a couple of other counties, and have put tracking devices on them to track nesting, poult survival rates, nesting habits, etc. I know a lot on here have complained that there is something wrong in S. Mid TN and that the TWRA needed to do something. It appears they are listening.

My farm is one of the places they are tagging them. They just tagged some on my neighbors place.

I posted a write up on this a while back.

I hope the biologist can learn something and the turkeys can make come back.

It's a shame that this has happened around here.

On a positive note though, turkeys have proven to make a big come back in the past.
