TWRA proposals

WoW! Let's review what I have learned over the past few days concerning the upcoming deer season.

1. Increasing the buck harvest to 4 antlered deer.
2. Increasing total gun hunting days to run consecutively from week before Thanksgiving to Jan 1.
3. Moving Muzzleloader hunting to the days right before gun season.
4. Allowing gun hunting with no hunter orange?????

1. Little Bucks
2. Fewer Deer
3. Dead Hunters

I hope I am wrong somewhere.

Where in the world did you hear all that at? A Co Worker? Or a "buddy"

#1 No way.
#2 not adding just moving calendar days around
#3 Already doing that
#4 Not a chance in the world, or in my lifetime or anyone elses.

That is wrong. Why do people keep thinking it is not adding days to gun season? It is simple math. It would be adding 12 days in December and removing 7 days in January. For those that can't do simple subtraction that is 5 more days of gun hunting.

Yep, you're right. I knew that I just didn't think when I typed it. I recommend to the commission to let Archery users close the season from 01/01 to the first weekend in January as it has always been. I guess we are just going to have to wait and see how all of this pans out.
 
that would be a great thing. That way no one is losing any hunting days. I don't gun hunt but having the gun season run straight without a split would certainly make the season less complicated.
