What's that about penalties don't get called on the last play? Holding call saved the day for UF with 6 seconds left.

You beat me to it. "Refs are taught to swallow the whistle so as to not determine the outcome of a ballgame"! What a load of BS. Wish we had had that ref last week !

Anyway, Mac finds a way again, and KY pulls a KY. When does bball start :rotf: ?

It was just funny bad hold in UT vs UF & its refs don't throw flags on the last plays.

This week UF saved by a flag on a holding call that would have been the last play before the kick lol

Just kinda funny how things work sometimes.

Like I said good comeback win they living on crazy close comeback lucky last second games. That worked well for UT last year, but it sooner or later the luck runs out.

They would of still had to kick the field goal... That would make the FG attempt the last play... Again... Geeezzz

The last play is when the ball is snapped and the clock runs out.....

After that last penalty on UF gave us the chance on the 50 yard line. We should've had no problem getting to FG range but had to wait on a 4 & 11 to do it. We gave it away. The guy who held deserves for everyone to put their booty in his face tonight and then go cry himself to sleep.

I just thought it was ironic how that happened. It was not last play, but it would have been the last play the offense ran been 6 seconds left special teams kicking an FG.

Clearly not the reason they lost heck dude may have missed FG anyways, could have been blocked.

Here's a quote off a Vol Football forum talking about the holding play (UF vs KY).

"On a serious note, I've never seen a holding penalty called on such an important play with under 10 seconds left in the game like that. I hope they got it right. That's all I can say."

Ky did a good job mixing it up early on. UF made some adjustments that paid off.

Yeah most of the time you don't. Same for Bball rarely do you see an illegal screen or charge foul with a few seconds left on the last possession down by 2.

That's why I didn't have a problem with it at the UT game. I even agreed that's not why UT lost.

I don't have a problem with what happened tonight.

I'm not a KY fan or a UF fan at all.

Just thought it was kinda ironic we had that conversation last week about last second plays/flags not being thrown & UF may Have been let off the hook by a holding call on the last play the offense would have ran that's all. May have missed the kick, but his pretty good & would have been well in his range.

They lost the game when they was up by 6 and could not stop UF from getting in the end zone, They lost the game cause for some reason they forget to cover a WR after they take timeouts lol not cause a holding call just thought it was funny it was odd it ended like that after last week.

It didn't bother me either. I just wish we had had a DB close enough to the FL WR to tackle him before he made the catch with a "no call". The W would have been nice, but even better would have been the FL reactions !

Concerning the hold call, it didn't look very bad, and had probably happened several times earlier without a call. KY finally gets their O going again and marches down the field to get in position and then that happens.

BTW, KY lost the game imo when they couldn't execute a snap on that one drive. A score there instead of a FG would have been huge.

Lastly, Del Rio will get the credit for the comeback even though he really didn't do anything, so Mac has a challenge ahead of him. Still can't figure out how he doesn't get better QB play with his supposedly being an offensive guru.

I know what he is capable of. Was hoping a QB sitting out 3 quarters and not getting many snaps all year would come out and bomb the 4th quarter. Instead he bombed us
