Kick SEC football out of the NCAA. Make it a semi-pro league with no academics and pay the athletes. Swap Vanderbilt with FSU. Add Miami and either Clemson or Oklahoma to make it a 16 team league. That would be a win-win for everybody. :tu:
Good idea vermin.

I think Notre Dame should join the SEC. That would be a hoot. Forget this silly ACC experiment. It's in South Bend.

Won't happen. ND has standards.

However, I am curious - does anyone know the last time a SEC team played a legitimate non-conference game in cold weather?

I don't know for sure, but it's probably been a very long time. Except for the in-state rivalry games, the vast majority of non-conference games are played early in the season. This isn't just an SEC-ism, it's pretty consistent throughout the Power 5.

I'm glad -- I've sat through my fair share of games in blizzard conditions and I'd rather not have to ever again.

Just another advantage of living in the South.

Aha! So you admit the SEC is soft and runs from the cold. I agree!

I'd like for you to quote where I said that.

As for northern winter weather stinking -- that's a big reason the US population is migrating south. When I was in the Air National Guard in Syracuse one of the native New Yorkers was commenting that he couldn't wait to move south. When I asked why, he just pointed to the window at the snow blowing sideways.

When is the last time a northern team tried to schedule the SEC? I have no idea but if they're so eager surely one would step up. :stir: :pop:
