We did Aches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon and Zion in May. They were all great. We didn't get to do the needles. It was flooded at the time with the snow melt.

Zion is my favorite. Bryce and Grand are spectacular too.
My mom is from CO and my aunts are Mormon and spread all over UT, AZ and CO.

I've pretty much quit hunting in Oct also. If I do, it will be last minute spur of the moment.
