Typically, the cci primers are the hardest. Not sure what you're measuring to get .250 drop? Ive never heard of firing pin drop other than drop testing a trigger mechanism by allowing the firearm to free fall onto the butt stock. I set up my firing pins for .055" firing pin stick out. I always hold the trigger back while closing the bolt for storage. This extends the firing pin without dry firing.

Firing pin travel may have been a better way to describe it. It can be measured with calipers at the back of the bolt shroud when the gun is cocked.
