Here in the Knoxville area Amazon is delivering out of a new hub that used to be East Towne Mall. Sorry you feel that way but the usps sucks so keep on whining.

You cant seriously sit there and say their logistics dont suck a$$, a package going fron tazewell to Knoxville has to go through Jacksonville Florida first

Man I'm sure you are one of the few good folks left at usps but you know they are terrible at best now. It's literally the work force or lack their of . Sorry but usps needs to be privatized. Terrible drain on the tax base and defunct too boot.
They drive right by my open business and I will get a update unable to deliver due to closed business with 20 cars in the parking lot.

So for everyone that want USPS privatized, you would expect it to run smoothly like FedEx and UPS as they never have problems? Cause there is never complaints on this site about them

Sorry, I'm not bashing your way of life, just your employer.
I once worked in a contract ran hasp as maintenance of a large sorting machine. Those postal higher-ups treated us like garbage. Referred to us as Mfers. I have no respect for the usps.
I'm sure you can understand how frustrating it is for those of us who are afraid to ship off one of our match barrels to be fluted because it may not make it there or may not return.

We only pay fed and ups once . We actually pay usps for the screwing both ways . They waste our tax dollars then lose our packages.So for everyone that want USPS privatized, you would expect it to run smoothly like FedEx and UPS as they never have problems? Had them attach a tracking signature insurance sticker to something I mailed once, they themselves stuck it at the counter. Lost the item and refused any reimbursement because apparently the sticker came off . Just sayin
I mailed a letter with a check to the Panhandle in Florida on Dec. 30. It finally got there today. I suspect the Pony Express could have gotten it there quicker.

The rate of accurate and on time delivery is better at the Post Office than FedEx, and is right there with UPS. Does the Post Office have problems? Yes, but having worked there for 30 years now, I can say that I would want something sent USPS way before I'd send with another carrier. And we probably average 5-6 packages a week in my house, and we may have an issue once a year at most.
I have spent a lot of time tracking down packages for customers and for friends, and it is very rare to have one of those "missing" packages not have a legitimate reason it went missing. Most of them that I have to track end up either having two labels on the box or the barcode is smudged so the scanners can't scan it. The other common problem is when a smaller package gets put in the wrong container at the sorting facility. Instead of going from Knoxville to Louisville, it ends up in Birmingham because it fell in the wrong container.
Yes, I am well acquainted with the lazy sloppy workers, as well as the poorly managed company. But I have been very happy to have now worked here 30 years.

I don't think anyone on here is bashing individual employees. I have more that one friend that worked/works for the Post Office, and I am well aware of the work ethic and professionalism they brought/bring to their job. My dealings locally with postal employees has been largely positive.
But, it is hard to get around how much the organization as a WHOLE has declined in recent years even as the cost of doing business with them has gone up. It is past time for some major improvements or to see them privatized. That might actually work out better for their good employees.

I have mailed, thru USPS, probably well over a few hundred packages n the last couple years all over TN, and to probably around 25 or so other states. Out of all of packages, have only had 2 issues. 1 was going to Baxter tn (it arrived about 2 weeks late) and other was to Rutledge Tn and was about 3 or 4 days longer then normal.
