I shot a Whisker Biscuit last year and it really rippled up the vanes and several times the vanes came off. With a drop away, how long do the vanes stay in good shape for accuracy without fletching contact?

I am not worried about the fletching hitting the rest with my Limbdriver. I just wonder if I can get a few seasons with the same fletching. My whisker biscuit tore them up pretty quick.

The only thing you should have to worry about is grouping arrows. That accounts for most of my torn up vanes.

With a good drop away and no contact the rest will not have any effect at all on fletching life. It will be mainly due to how well they are glued to shaft and how many times you hit them with other arrows. You will not do no where near as much refletching with a drop away as compared to the whisker biscuit.

Charleton-I have some vanes on arrows that are 4 years old and others that I had to replace because I tore them up practicing. they last longer now that I change how I shoot during practice.

Cool...it is spelled Charlton BTW!

A dropaway won't hurt your vanes Carlton...

If the rest timing is set properly , there shouldn't be any contact . Like the others guys said , tight groups will ruin more vanes.

I have had a montana gold drop rest for 7 years and it has never failed. I didnt realize these guys had went out of business and i would like another for my sons bow! Man i am disappointed.

i got a dozen i had fletched up, use a limbdriver. a little over a thousand shots with those twelve and the vanes are still in good shape.

Been shooting a Limbdriver on my Bowtech for 4 years with Blazers and never had any appear to need changing. The Limbdriver if set properly will never contact your fletching.
