Vols keep rolling

Vols only won 2 games on SAT ---- BUT they only played 2.....

BaseVols run ruled FL with a walk off 3run homer in the bottom of 7th -- 10-0. BaseVols look to sweep FL today at 1pm. (secn+ / series 2-0 Vols)

SoftVols go for the sweep of Uconn today at 12pm (secn+/ series 2-0 Vols))

And the BIG ONE M-BasketVols beat AUB in SEC tournament semifinal game. Vols play FL today at 1pm for the tourney championship (and probably a #1 NCAA tournament seed).

So big day on SAT for VOLS and bigger day today for VOLS across 3 sports.

Well the BaseVols got the sweep of FL in Knoxville, stay undefeated. Huge sweep for the program, play ETSU tue at 5pm secn+. VOLS visit Bama for a 3game series starting THU at 730(ESPNU), FRI/SAT games on secn+.

SoftVols got the sweep of UCONN and play E-KY on tue at 630 (may be on secn+). Then Arkansas visits K-ville for a 3game series starting SAT 530 (all games probably on SECN+)

M-BasketVols came up short against FL in the SEC tournament championship. Got a 2seed for the NCAA tournament and play Wofford THU. Overall, still a good weekend for UT VOLS sports from FRI to Sun across 3 sports VOLS were 8-1. Of course, the 1 loss was a tough one and to FL.

W-BasketVols got a #5 seed in the NCAA tournament Birmingham bracket (TEX #1seed). Vols play USF 3-21 8pm.

Both M/W BasketVols make it to the sweet 16 -- Men play KY (lost to KY twice this season) / W play TEX (lost to TEX in JAN this season, TEX is bracket #1 seed)

SoftVols lost the weekend home series to ARK 2-1, BUT little history made by Vols Pitcher
History made by Lady Vols pitcher Karlyn Pickens:
In the sixth inning, Pickens made history by throwing the fastest pitch in softball history at 78 mph, surpassing the previous record of 77 mph. The previous mark had been set by Tennessee legend Monica Abbott in 2012 as a professional with the Chicago Bandits and was matched by Pickens earlier this season.

BaseVols won the weekend series(2-1) on the road against Bama AND remain ranked #1 in NCAA baseball. Here is the top 10:
  1. Tennessee
  2. Arkansas
  3. Georgia
  4. Florida State
  5. Oregon State
  6. Clemson
  7. Texas
  8. LSU
  9. Oklahoma
  10. Oregon
