You can't ask for a better response from the head coach if you're a Vols fan. Heupel isn't worried about politicking his way into a home game or a favorable matchup. Instead, his sole focus is on competing and not worrying about things his team can't control (like seeding).

It's an elite approach from Heupel and his staff. We'll see if that approach pays off in the coming weeks when post-season play gets underway.
 
I thought it was argued that championship games shouldn't factor in on whether a team should drop or not? Or was that just for the SEC? Now we are arguing that if SMU or PSU lose big then UT should be ranked higher? Why should a team get punished for playing in their conference championship game?

OSU is an 11 point favorite against UT at this point.

I don't know if anyone really knows what the committee well do to a loser for losing the Conference Championship game.If a team loses big you would think they would drop several spots.You hear conflicting opinions

YALL (and I mean the collective body of the NCAA not just TNDEER for the people that can't comprehend what yall means) been lobbying/yapping about expanding the playoffs SERIOUSLY since around 2012 and now its here. You have probably 7 teams that clearly have NO bidness playing for the NC. You might make a argument for the 6th Team OSU because everyone knows those rivalry games can go either way. they have played pretty strong all season and most of the talking heads before the michigan game had them winning the NC . So there is that.

So there is 7 teams that is going to waste everyone's time. Maybe one or two of pull a michigan this past Saturday and disrupts some great teams path to the NC and then gets buried later down the road. Or they wind up hurting some star talent on opposing teams and wrecking their chances on the path to the NC. I sure hope the NCAA fixes this mess. With ALABAMA in maybe enough of "YALL" will whine about it and it will force them to do something about. Please do. I need to hear some whining about it for the next 2 years. Especially if some miracle happens and ALABAMA makes a deep run at it..which I would NOT count on.

We deserve it much more than bama, did you even watch football this year? We beat you and 2 other teams that beat you and have only 2 losses, bama got lucky Georgia didnt quite come back and beat you, as South Carolina, pretty sure we beat all teams double digits, comprehindo?
