Vols vs BYU

Vols are currently favored by 4. This game has me worried but is a BIG game for Rocky Top. Early in the year, new players will be on the field but I think we walk away with a win in Knoxville. What are your thoughts?
 
Big game. It will show what, if any, improvements have been made. If they don't win that one, it is probably a sign that it is going to be another long year for Vol fans.
 
I think it's a win but definitely not a blowout. As stated above, it's a huge measuring block for this team to see where we are at and where we have improved. Vols by 7 to 10 pts

You cannot measure ur whole season based on one games performance. ALABAMA lost to Ole Miss in 2015 and used that as a launching pad to come back and beat Florida in the NC.

I think its going to be a pretty tough season for them rebuilding IMHO. I think a couple of the games below could swing the vols direction. Possibly the SC or the MS game.

You cannot measure ur whole season based on one games performance. ALABAMA lost to Ole Miss in 2015 and used that as a launching pad to come back and beat Florida in the NC.

It won't be all peaches and cream this year but they WILL win more than 4 games

Which games are they gonna win???

I Gave my thoughts on it and gave allowances for the SC game and the Missouri game as possible wins. Those could be 50/50 IMHO really depending on which team shows up that day. I think the Rest of the L are pretty accurate . At least the logic and stats behind them are.

I wouldnt put a W against UK at Lexington. With the exception of their defensive backs, they return a core group of experience and Wilson will be notably better than last year.

yeah, that's nuts but i seen what you seen.

I think 6-8 wins including bowl game. If I had to nail down a number, I would go with 7 wins total

We have a mystery team, but Pruitt seems to like what he has for the first time, so I'd guess we are improving a bit

I love my Vols win lose or draw. Last year I predicted 5-7 but missed on the games they won- lost. Depending on injuries we have and our opponents injuries we hopefully will win 6 to 7 games at best. Of course I want to be wrong but I just don't see that many victories this season. I'm hoping we can do better but my bigger more realistic hope is that we close the gap on the games we lose and not look like a Div 2 team against the big dogs. Of course we won't beat bammer this year but it would be nice to be competitive and build on that. 6-6 and hanging in there with excellent teams will be a great improvement this year.

Cant argue with that logic. I think we are a we bit better than 6 wins BUT like you said, if we can make the big games competitive then its a good accomplishment.

. Tough Field . Florida by all counts going to be lots better this year . So I don't see that happening.
