Vols vs BYU

I am looking at this a little more positive, of course being a fan for 50 yrs, will do that. Usually 2nd yr is the most improvement, second yr under our s&c coach should see much stronger team, we have went from 2 guys 300lb+ to 15, we got size now, 2, 5 star lineman and hearing Trey Smith might play, and finally I think we have the best assistant coaches in the country with a team that has more experience that we have had in a while.

6-6 and hanging in there with excellent teams will be a great improvement this year.

Cant argue with that logic. I think we are a we bit better than 6 wins BUT like you said, if we can make the big games competitive then its a good accomplishment.

Big game. It will show what, if any, improvements have been made. If they don't win that one, it is probably a sign that it is going to be another long year for Vol fans.

You cannot measure ur whole season based on one games performance. ALABAMA lost to Ole Miss in 2015 and used that as a launching pad to come back and beat Florida in the NC.

I think its going to be a pretty tough season for them rebuilding IMHO. I think a couple of the games below could swing the vols direction. Possibly the SC or the MS game.
