W Va turkey hunter killed while putting out decoys

Rifles are seriously legal in WV for turkeys? That's about stupid and would be no fun at all to hunt them with a rifle.

VA it's also legal to hunt in the spring with rifles. Guys will ride the roads and shoot strutters out in a field 150-300 yards away and brag about it. i've been trying to get VA to ban them in the spring.

I have NEVER EVER understood how or why rifles are legal to shoot turkeys with. Just blows my mind.

Everyone knows how I hate decoys. But if you're hunting a state where rifles are legal you'd have to be some kind of special to hunt with decoys.

Not really, I'm ultimately responsible for my safety while in the outdoors. Relying on someone else for your safety can end badly

I hate it happened, it's not the weapon it's the person using the weapon, may have been fatal with a 410 and any other weapon.
