NIL has changed the game but all teams have always had the same set of rules.
Rules? Yes. Compliance? Not so much

EDIT: And to be totally fair here, I'm not just pointing the finger at Bama. Many others (including the Vols) have had their violations. Just some schools were more adept at the game than others...

Yeah the Dodge Chargers I guess is not working as well since NIL has begun 🤭
I don't have a personal problem with Nick. As much as I despise Bama and like seeing him flustered on the sidelines, I can admit he was a great coach. It was VERY telling when he pitched a fit and left when NIL came though. He knew his pipeline was drying up and didn't want to tarnish the legacy. Wise...

Plus he's awesome in the Vrbo commercials and I'm still hopeful he throat punches McAfee on Gameday at some point.

I agree that schools have broken the rules (including Alabama) but Alabama has been penalized on several occasions for breaking those rules.

They have. As have countless others. However, there are many schools (Vols included) that found ways not to get caught. Bama proved to be exceptional at this. Not sour grapes. Just stating what we all know to be true. NIL, love it or hate it, puts it all out in the open. Level playing field so long as you can raise the funds. No more routing stuff through a coach's car dealership or a booster's brother's construction company nonsense. Even now I have mixed thoughts on NIL. We just have to accept college football will never be perfect

A lot of schools found ways around the rules but that only last so long before you get caught. I'm not necessarily against NIL. I do think it should have better rules to regulate it. I also think the transfer portal should have different rules.
Agree. The transfer portal is turning kids into mercs. Don't love that. Kinda finding the right balance currently I believe. Gonna take some refining over the next several years for NIL and portal.
