I went to the mail box today to see how many bills were in there and saw I had gotten a couple of small packages. One was a pair of Russian olive pot call blanks that don't look like much till you turn them. I will post pics once I turn it right now it is boring.

The other package I was expecting was from out west and had some stabilized buckeye burl in it. This stuff is one of the most expensive woods I have the heart to price but it sure is pretty. Here it is 1 piece big enough for a pot call and three that I will hold back for trumpets.

In keeping with our other thread this is how mine starts if I buy blanks from my buddies. If I make them they start out as a tree.

You got any sound files on any of your calls

I don't right now and I was going to do some with the copper I just sent out. I will get some put together and post them for you when I do. Believe it or not I don't have one of my really good calls for me I ship them all out I hunt the junkers.

that buckeye burl makes some awesome tables...

Funny you should say that I know someone that just bought a table made from it and cut it apart for call blanks :D

This will get either copper or titanium when I turn it. Not going to be a cheap call to make so might as well go all in.
