Was the fishing affected by the hurricane? I see that Cardenas Bluff campground is still closed. Was thinking of a summer vacation there to put a little money into the local economy.

we'll be hearing soon if it has hurt anything. the walleye will be trying to spawn soon. special single hook regs already kicked in (Jan. 1st) on certain portions of the lake trying to discourage snaggers from targeting spawners.

Haven't fished watauga in years. Years ago we all called the Dead Sea. But it's gotten better over the years for sure from what I'm told. Might give it a go this year be hard for me to know where to start. Since I haven't fished it in 15 or 20 years.
