I'd love to know the pitch on that prop to get that performance. I have a 60 Suzuki on a 16' Triton only getting 34 mph on gps.
Is your lower unit gear ratio 2.42:1? If so you have a command thrust style lower unit that is for large boats with heavy loads that is designed to spin larger diameter props. You won't be able to run much faster than that.
That's what I thought, bet that thing will scoot!

It has 2.42:1, I will look up Mercury ratio.
Mine is 1.83:1

11.75 x 15p is the factory SS 3 blade prop
Mine is 10.375 by 15p 3 blade, engine rpm is 6050 at WOT on plane and trimmed up.
How many rpm's can your engine turn that prop you have now?
If you don't have a way to read rpms you will need to buy a tach before anything else.

It is tiller control, and has small/ tiny led screen on tiller handle that shows rpm, I'm not brave enough to look at wot. Next time out, maybe my son sitting passenger can look. I'm sorry I have interrupted your for sale thread, but the new owner should love that type performance!
