I recently washed my hunting clothes and only used borax and a little Scent Away liquid since the detergent is scented. Anyone tried this and is it a good way to clean your hunting clothes? I just used it cause I had it. Borax kills odors and of course so does scent away. But now my clothes smell of Permethrin-10 but I can't help that, seed ticks would keep me out of the woods this time of year otherwise. All I need is to get dirt, sweat and scent out of my clothes, so Borax should be a good enough detergent, right?

Tide ree. Cheap and as good as anything out there. Borax is an abrasive. Breaks down the camo pattern faster. Always turn your camo clothes inside ut anyway.

I used borax for years. Does fade the camo faster but cleans awesome and is scent free. I also put clothes in a scent free bag that was doused with baking soda.....just shake off the clothes when you ready to use them. If I was hunting pine thickets I'd use fresh pine needles in the bag.
