Weirdest thing you ever found in the woods.

Didn't happen to me, but did to someone I know.

Back in south Georgia guy was floating the river fishing. Came across a styrofoam cooler. Opened it to see if anything was in it. Turns out it was full of pot. He closed the lid and went on his way fishing.

About a week later he comes home from work and there is a brand new Minn Kota trolling motor on his front porch. There was a note on the box. The note said, "Thank you for minding your own business."

Said the hair on the back of his neck stood up.

Someone was watching him. I grew up in a rough area unless someone is getting hurt it's best to mind your own business.

As a kid I found an electric guitar, amp, bolt action rifle and few other items laying in the woods....told my parents who then called the law...obviously stolen and stashed there to pick up later...guess I spoiled their plans...as as boy I remember that rifle was beautiful.
Hopefully everything made it back to its owner.

Was hunting with my little brother... decades ago. We were in a remote area we thought surely no one had ever been to. It was miserably cold...I wanted to go home.

Just trudging through some very dense stuff, I look down and see a dollar bill laying there. I reached down, picked it up and said...I got my buck, we can go now!! 😂

Lots of stuff blown in by tornadoes (mostly from Jackson). Sex toys, drug paraphernalia, car parts, children's toys, clothing, music CDs, etc. Way more meth labs than I can count. Trespasser's treestands. Worst wasn't something I found but something I saw. A new client on the Plateau was driving me around his property two days before gun opener. Drove up on a guy setting the woods on fire. I had always heard stories about neighbor's burning each other out over deer hunting, but just thought those were stories. Until I saw it with my own eyes. You Plateau guys are ROUGH!

A pile of things. On of our farms as a cemetery by our gate and it's rural so it's a good place to "mess around" so you can imagine condoms sex toys drug stuff. Not to far away from on of our best tree stands is an old moon shine site. Nothing to to crazy. Also have found marijuana plants on more then one occasion. I have found them in back yards while working on several occasions as well.

Scouting some paper company land out in the middle of nowhere smelled mothballs. Kept scouting and found mothballs arranged in a circle about the size of a pie plate on the ground. Didn't take but a sec to recognize what was growing in the center of said mothball circles. Eased out and never went back.

There is a patch of CNF way up in the east tn mountains we use to hunt quite a bit. It was a few mile hike in on the old logging roads. We found a still that was still in operation and about a half mile from there about an acre pot field. We left and didn't go back.

A different area of CNF about 600 yards from the road we found a rather large double ended sex toy.

A buddy on a lease in Meigs county found a brand new DJI drone with no markings on it.

Found a campsite that had the tent burnt along with a lot of personal items. Had a army bayonet other knives, pots pans, canned foods 3 or 4 fishing poles. It looked like everything somebody owned was burnt in the fire. And was several miles from anywhere
