Well changing bow brands!

As many of you know I shoot bowtechs as they are what Boo shoots and I like to support a company that supports her.

Well I bought my Captain last year and after hunting with it decided I did not like the top heavy feel of the bow.

I was not impressed with the line up this year and feel it is time for me to move on.

So I am trading my Bowtech and going to Hoyt Land!!

Hoyt Katera xl!

Boo is still shooting Bowtechs and thats fine by me. Gotta get what I like!
 
I've got a Katera and it's a compact, quick bow. I've finally gotten outta the I need a new bow each year phase. Bows are one of the worst investments when it comes time to sell!

And that's all that's really important. I had narrowed my search to the Alphamax 32 and the Admiral, but the bowtech just felt better in my hands. No doubt though, that alphamax sure is a great bow.
 
That's the fun in archery! I just hopped on ArcheryTalk and checked out the classifieds.

Man oh man, NOW is the time to be buying if you want a newer bow for $200-300 less than what they cost new last year. I gave nearly $800 pretax for my '09 82nd last year. I just got through looking at one identical to mine, brand new out of the box, for $530. WOW!

I couldn't believe the prices on the 09 bows on AT. Makes a man never want to buy a new one again.

I don't doubt it a bit. I just purchased a brand new BT Admiral for $400. Fella was wanting a Destroyer really bad. :grin:
