Not much action just south of dyersburg in our hole
I don't feel bad for missing the last 2 days. Figured they wouldn't have arrived yet. Vacation until the 14th
That vacation time should be sweet! Hopefully anyways

South Forked Deere river area south of D,burg has been slow. More geese than ducks. Seems like when the geese came the ducks don't use the area like they used to.

Shot 2 pintails. Stale ducks with a light east wind is a recipe for disaster. We will see if we finally get that push in the rain today….

Reelfoot has been mostly slow. Water everywhere doesn't help us. This front should improve things but if not going to be a grind for the last 3 weeks for sure.
Deep water hunting is setting up for the rest of season but I havnt found any birds since the weekend before Christmas.

It looks like Missouri has a bunch of mallards based on their 12/30 counts. The entire state is supposed to be covered in snow and ice after today so if somebody doesn't see new ducks somewhere then I don't know what to think anymore.
I know it's after the winter solstice and they get harder to move later in January and all that jazz, but something has to shake loose from all this, no?

Hunted yesterday. Very few ducks in the area. Didn't even see a lot of high groups. I think it's about to get good, but they just aren't here yet. Or at least weren't yesterday.
Let us know how it goes, I chose to stay home and stay dry this morning
Let me rephrase, those who have deep water are setting up good looks like it's gonna stay pretty cold until the end starting Tuesday.

We hit them pretty hard this morning. Fairly tough yesterday. Saw lots more high birds moving today and could tell the new ones, they did it right. Should continue with this weather.

Still slow in our hole. Live birds on farm east of us with a stiff east wind not helping. Seeing some big groups of new ducks but nothing spectacular yet. Water everywhere has them spread out I guess.

3 teal and 3 woodies today. Set up the ice eaters and moved the decoys yesterday in preparation for the cold weather. High hopes for this week. We shall see.
Near thorny today. Lots of shooting all day long, both sides of refuge. Seen more ducks then been seeing, not sure if migratory. Maybe bout to improve.
