It's not just the offense. That's a problem, but I wonder if it's not more of a symptom.
What I mean is that in Florida, Auburn & Vandy we had chances to take control of the game in the second half and we didn't do it.
Down the whole game at FL and at one point made it up 6. We couldn't extend or hold.
Auburn we were up either 6 or maybe even 8, late in the second. We were more fortunate with the outcome there but we had a chance to win more comfortably.
Vandy, we actually shot the ball well as a team. Same story though. Trade leads all night, finally build a multi possession (think it was 6 here too) late in the second and we know how that turned out.
This is in contrast to the Ole Miss game at the start of SEC play, the Vandy game in TBA, etc.
I don't expect to blow everyone out. Not at all. Even lower tier SEC teams can play anybody tough on a given night.
But these were all decidedly inferior opponents from a record & talent standpoint. Once we get a little breathing room late in a game like that we ought to step on their proverbial neck and end it.
