What Broadheads Will You Be Shooting This Year?

Me too. Rage, Montecs, Strikers, and Stiker Mags are all on the list. I'm leaning towards the Rage two blade because I have shot a similar head (Rocky Mountain Sypers) for a few years and loved them however they are now discontinued.

100 grain 3 blade mechanical sidewinder by trophy ridge. In my mind and oppinion that dont mean much, they are the most reliable cutting broadhead made.

I shot the Rocket Sidewinders for several years and they are deadly!

Shooting Rage 2 blade this year

well I might be changing! Not to a different brand but to the mx 3. I did some tweeking on The General and its a close call at this point.

Re: What Broadheads Will You Be Shooting This Year

I have a quiver mullet. 4 rage 2 blades in the front (thats the business) 2 slick trick 100 grains in the back (thats the party) they will fly at yotes, wistle pigs, treerats, and other in season varmits.

3 100 gr Trophy Ridge Meat Seekers in the quiver and trying the Muzzy MX3 100gr (depends on how well they fly as to whether they make it to the quiver)

I'll be carrying at least 3 rage 2 blades. 100 gr. With the entry wounds and blood trails I saw last year, I see no reason to change.

Secret Squirrel, what's the theory behind only carrying the rages in early season, and at what point do you plan on switching? Just curious cause I've never heard of a broadhead being affected by the time of year.

In the early season I typically only hunt does unless BullWinkle shows up, which is rare. I had a Rage problem last year on a buck and won't let it happen again. I have a doe overpopulation on the land I hunt and would rather chance not finding a deer I shot on a doe then a buck. If they prove me wrong on a doe I might consider them for harvesting a buck.

I hope this makes sense. ;)

Understood. Was the problem just deployment. I had a problem with one on my first draw last season, but it was just my lack of experience with mechanical broadheads. I tripped it with my finger while drawing. Never made that mistake again. As for an overpopulation of does, trust me, I understand that too. You a unit L hunter as well?
