What did you do today in the reloading room?

Wanted to do some scope work the other day and play with the Garmin. Upon firing the first group I realized my groups kinda sucked, but my load was rather anemic. Reworked the load in the new brass I just got and picked up nearly 250 fps. This will do. 223 with starline brass, 8208, and a rmr 75gr bthp. I'll try this load at 1k in a few weeks

Update to my 243 hunting load I've been working…. I basically gave up on the 75 HHT and ordered 90 gr accubonds BUT I tried one more recipe today. 75 HHT at 2.600 and 42 gr H4350. Shortening up the OAL and lowering the powder from what I was doing and it worked! 0.6" and that's good enough for me for my 243 hunting load. I guess I have some accubonds to do something with now.

Put those 90gr AccuBonds over some H4831 (or H4831SC if you can find any), 90-100gr projectiles and H4831SC is my 243 go-to

Keep us posted on the 7 PRC load. I'm using N570 with mine. I'm going to try a few with LRT because my 28 Nosler loves it. Maybe I can do with just the one powder. I have to try the 570 in nosler first to be sure.
See this link for this info.

Finally got around to loading some more 300blk subsonic ammo. This batch contains 220gr Berry's bullets with 9.8gr of Accurate 1680.

I have 500 of these Berry's Bullets to load up myself. My initial plan was to use CFE Black, but I now have IMR 4227, and H110. Wish I could simply walk outside and shoot a quick batch while loading, but that would generate a massive police response.
Sniper23, what barrel twist do you use for these 220s? I have a 9.5" 1:8 twist and a 16" I don't even know twist on an Sig MCX switch barrel setup. I bought that special combo setup 9 years ago and have never used the 300BO barrel.

I necked up some 308 to 358 Winchester, in anticipation of the completion of my REM 700 rebarrel.

Took one of my Farley Co-Ax joystick front rests apart and cleaned it and greased it and put it back together ,,anybody else about to go nuts waiting on some decent range weather ?

Put away 500 rounds of 9mm that my wife and I have shot up recently. About to switch the SDB to 40 and knock out a few hundred of those.
Ordered another tool plate for the SDB so I can setup my 45acp dies and start loading for my new RIA 1911.

I made it out to Dead Zero this afternoon to shoot the MTR some. Nothing overly impressive, still have lots of lots to test LOL

I'm not sure Id trust any tests done in this weather.
The wind was almost non existent for a change. I was able to wait, when I would have the patience to, for most shots. Just had to get out there and shoot this new build and get it going. It's showing some potential, but for sure needs work, especially the trigger, got to do some work there with a new spring and maybe some polishing. Other areas as well, just the things I have to work thru to see what works best with it, not the least of which is ammo preference. 👍🏼

Made it to the range last weekend to test out my first ever 30-30 loads. 35.2 grains of 4350 behind a 150 grain FP. I was really impressed with the groups from my Dad's old Marlin 336. Cloverleaf hole from 5 shots at 25 yards. More than sufficient for how I plan to use it, so I went ahead and loaded up the rest with the last of my 4350.
Going to try some 165 & 150 gr cast that I have over some 700X, Unique, and SR4759 next.

I use 35 grs. of Hodgon Lever evolution powder, and Hornady 160 gr FTX bullets in my Marlin 336, 30-30. It will cloverleaf 5 shots at 50 yards. Plus they have more velocity. I have taken a few deer with that load and it puts them down hard! I had a one shot kill at 117 yards used a range finder for a accurate distance. No hold over, just put the crosshairs dead on.
