That 835 will feel 4X that heavy once the trigger is pulled too
. Mine will put a hurting on you....but sure is a good turkey gun. I moved to my light duck gun with the 835 as a backup

I bought a limbsaver recoil pad for it years ago and it really make a difference but it kicks pretty good.

I always have my backpack with me. Which I keep multiple gloves masks and calls in. Snacks and water. I don't like it stuffed full everything has a spot I don't want to shuffle around looking for things in the woods. And of course the weapon of the day shotgun or bow. I've taken one with a bow at 30 yards was exciting but kind of suckedi had to chase him with a dang arrow/broadhead sticking out of him at first it pegged him to the ground he got loose and ran off so I usually have shotgun but sometimes.....

1 slate, 1 box, 1 diaphragm, knife, pruners, small pop up screen, stool, water bottle, snack, tp, 3 extra shells, binos, short tote rope maybe a deke, thermacell when needed.
I'm not very good even with well over 20 years experience. Therefore, I'll be packing a Jake and hen decoy on my back. I wear a vest because it's a fast seat and backrest. Inside I carry a pot call and a box call. Around my neck a pair of red field binoculars and in my hands my trusty 835

I think they taste great, seriously. Two will carry me through most of the morning. I can buy them at the Food City here in Knoxville as well. Best flavors are chocolate and chocolate peanut butter.
