What gun/caliber is your GO-TO for hunting 2022

I have a Bergara Wilderness HMR in 6.5 PRC I'm going to carry to the box blind this season. Working up some handloads soon but it shoots Hornady factory ammo sub MOA.

Simce 1996 my Remington 700 7mm mag with Nikon 4 X 12 for rifle season. My favorite is my CVA Acuura II with Nikon 3 X 9 during muzzleloader season. I love me some muzzleloader hunting.

I won't be deer hunting much but will be taking this Bergara Premier MG Lite in 300 WM with Trijicon Tenmile to CO for elk. Total weight under 8 1/2 lbs and a folding butt stock will pack in nicely.View attachment 150238
I need to stop seeing this rifle. I picked up the b14 hmr 300wm and just picked up vortex pst gen II 5-25x50 ffp for it. That MG lite is a nice rifle that packs up great.

6.5 CM - Ruger Predator.

Extremely confident with it out to 700 yards. Low recoil, very deadly round.

Let me tell you, I am not a chassis guy at all but this one is different because it's so light. It will be great to have it folded up and lashed to my pack when hiking in or out in the dark.

I got 2. Bergara b14 Hunter in 308 with a leupold vx3i and. Bergara ridge wilderness 22 inch barrel in 6.5 creedmoor with a vortex Diamondback. I just got the creedmoor so I'll probably put my Nikon monarch 3 back on it and use the Diamond back for my sons ML.

What's the ONE gun that you have 100% confidence in and grab when it's rifle season.

Mine - Remington 700 in .243 topped with a Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40 - not fancy, but she's my huntin buddy.
My go to is an old Remington 788 chambered in 308. There's a lot of good guns and calibers out there, just what I am comfortable with

These will be my primary tools upon the mountain this year. On the left is my 10" T/C Contender in 41 Magnum, on the right is my Ruger SRH also in 41 Magnum. Taken several deer with the T/C, haven't bloodied the Ruger yet.
