What is "Rape Brassica"?

Brassica are in the turnip family. Yes, deer eat them, but primarily in the winter, after the first hard freeze.

I can't possibly be that old-you never heard of rape seed oil? Never seen it next to Corn oil in the grocery store?

Pull a Rapeseed plant out of the ground and twist the root, you'll be amazed how much stuff you twist out. Tastes horrible you ask me but it is grown everywhere and eaten everywhere, leaves and all.

Yup, Dwarf Essex Rape is one of the few members of the brassica family that deer tend to hit early in the season. A good bow-hunting plot.
