A couple of bucks were working does in that food plot at the time.I've heard a couple different bucks wheeze like that, usually when competition is close by.

I killed a mature 10 back in November, and right before he died he let out a blood curdling "death moan" so to speak. Very load, very pronounced and nothing like anything I've heard from a whitetail. The focalization lasted a good 8-10 seconds. Every heard this?
That's a good description. I was amazed at how loud it was.Once on a spine shot. He moaned like a bleating doe but it was deeper and raspy. It's not something I'd want to hear while walking out after dark lol.
