What is your go to call?

Some homemade slate call I bought for $25 from a guy that had a display set up at a fund raiser hunting expo at the Grace Baptist Church in Tullahoma a couple years ago. The writing is wore off the back of it or I'd give the fellers name... :D

Ole Yeller

X2

I tell you what, i have had an Ole Yeller for a LONG time and that thing is actually a very good call especially on windy days. Its loud and has a good semi-hi pitch. I dont always carry it but will still use it at some point every spring.
I too once used an my Ole Yeller and it never ceased to amaze me. There have been many mornings that I would throw everything at an old gobbler only to have them not respond or respond but not come in....then I would use Ole Yeller and turn the tides. At one time, it was my cheapest call in my arsenal but my most deadly UNTIL the day I somehow sat on it and cracked it. :( It never sounded the same to me after that so I retired it. I bought a new one that year but it did not sound the same so I gave it away to a friend. My old Ole Yeller was a great go to call no doubt.

That sucks Andy. :(

I "lost" mine one year so I went and bought a new one the next year and when I went to put the new one in the same pocket I always kept my old one in, I found my old one. :D

I got lucky as the new one sounds just like the old one, so I got a spare. ;)
