What power do you set your scope?

I keep mine on 5 whether woods or field. 95% of my hunting is in the woods. I will turn it up if needed.
If hunting in the woods I will typically set it at the lowest setting for 2 reasons:
1) It is easier to pick up a running deer
2) a scope gathers more light at its lowest setting

Always on the lowest setting. You can always shoot one on the lowest setting, but it's hard to see good if one runs in close and your scope is topped out.
I even leave it low when hunting out west, because you never know.

Lowest setting , it's easier to make a shot needing higher magnification without it than to take a shot quickly that needs lower magnification. Biggest deer I had ever shot at popped out on me at 20yds and I had scope set on max because I was looking for a doe I had shot

I keep mine on 4.5 while in the woods. Kinda like using a straight 4 power. Learned this from a guy who only used 4 power scopes. You can easily go up or down with one hand if needed from 4 without having to move the gun

Generally at lowest setting. In woods at 3. If I'm hunting field then 5. I learned (read it somewhere 30 years ago) when I first started shooting rifle that it is easier to maintain steady hold at lower magnification. If you are dialed in too high, you see more movement of the crosshairs and try to compensate and actually make yourself more unsteady. So I've always followed that and taught my daughter to shoot that way. Rarely ever does my scope get set to 9. When I'm sighting in at 100 yards at the range I set it to 5 or 6.
