Just wondering what size/type of memory stick ya'll use with your p32. Also has any one tired the micro sd to memorystick pro duo to memory stick converter to see if that will work?

I havent used the micro... I use a 1gb in a pro duo. Works fine. I have read anything larger will slow it down a little.

I suppose if you were using it over a mineral site it would make much different though.

Ok I think i am going to try the conversion. Those micro sd cards are super cheap in that small size plus I like the sd. May not work but i am going to give it a shot.

Using the converter with a Pro Duo slows the image read/write process some. I just use 512M Memory Sticks.

My biggest card is ...as BSK said 512mb....the old sony cards were not that big.If you use that Duo you are giving up trigger speed...something we need.
During certain months you have to check them every couple days.
Had 244 in 2 days one visit...almost full.

Not sure where I got it, but I have a single 4 GB Memory Stick PRO am using in the P41 cams. Seems to work fine, just like the 512mb. Looks absolutely identical the the 512's, except it says 4.0 GB.

Is the 4 GB card too much for the p32?

I'm not sure if the P32 will accept a Memory Stick Pro. They were designed around the original Memory Stick.

I'm using Memory Stick PRO (most are 512's) in my P41's.
However, until last summer, I did have a couple older p32's (or they may have been Psomethingelse), and believe I used the same cards in both (with exception to that single 4 GB card).

May have to put some lithium batteries in a P41 and see if can fill up that 4 GB card.

Thanks Andy.

I have some Memory Stick Pros that are 1 GB. I won't use the Pro Duo with adapter in the P32 or S40 because they slow the cameras down.

good info, i ordered the stuff to try the adapters. I will see if it slows it down, if it does i will just use the 512 memory sticks. I just don't want to have to check them all the time. May try a 1 gig as well.

More than one way to reduce your checking frequency.

Since these cams produce such high-quality images, there is much less need for multiple pics of a single deer. Over salt licks, usually no need to get a pic every few seconds. Setting to trigger no more often than every 2 minutes is usually adequate.

You guys are correct in some ways but also WRONG in some ways. It depends on what control board you are using as to the size of card you need to use. If you are running a Yeti or SnapShotSniper board you can use up to a 2gb card in the P32 and it does not matter if it is a Pro Duo with a adapter or if it is a Old Style Pro. The program Mark and Gary use holds down the Shutter button for 3 seconds so the camera has plenty of time to check the card and store the pics. If you are running a Big Foot board the Shutter is only held down for 1.2 seconds so you might just get every other picture stored. Hope this makes sense.....

I've found that it takes the camera longer to read the card when using an adapter. I'm not concerned about it not writing to the card, just the delay in reading and writing which can slow down trigger speed.

Never tried a 4gb in a P41 before Wes. Like Bryan said, it will slow the trigger time down a bit because it actually reads the entire card before writing the new pic. I am not a big Speed Demon so a second or two is not that important to me. I never put a cam facing 90 deg to a trail. I always put mine looking up the trail so I always get plenty of shots.
