What time getting to the woods Saturday?

Unless I roost a bird the evening before will be headed to my first listening post by 545ish...gotta long walk.

5 pm the night before ;)

Seriously though, I'll probably get to my listening spot around 6:30. Gobbling time has been around 7:00 the past 10 days down south further

I'll be there around 6:15 to listen only. I'm deaf in one ear and can't tell directions all I can do is setup and hope I'll call one in

Only killed 2 birds in 16 years hunting them

IF my wife finally has our 6th baby (11 days late today) I'll be able to be off work Saturday. Which means I will actually be able to hunt an opening morning for the first time in my life...deer or turkey. I'll be at my listening spot by 6 which is a 1p min walk from the house. No birds today or yesterday morning, but last week had a whole herd 3 Tom's and 10 hens or so.

The first gobble this weekend was at 6am in middle Tennessee. If I know where I'm gona be I'm gona get there and be set up by 5:40.

Public land spot. Gotta walk in and be set up EARLY. Like want to be set up by 545. I live about 45 mins from said spot and a 20 min walk in. They started gobbling the other day at 615.

Thursday, Fri, and Saturday I got set up about 630 listening the first two days. They started gobbling shortly after a 645. Fly down has been almost 715 on the dot all three days. That's eastern time though.

Carried my nephew to a new lease this past weekend, 50/50 pines and hardwoods. They were hammering Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 06:15-06:20 central time and gobbled fairly good on the ground up till around 7:30 and then sparse throughout the morning.

What I thought was strange was the hens did not fly down till 08:20....we actually set up on one gobbling and watched him and two other birds (pretty sure hens) fly down. At around 8 we had 5 deer come walking by and the two flew back up and started fluffing/cleaning themselves. Shortly after birds started pitching out everywhere!! Had no idea they were there, ended up having 4 jakes and 17 hens come by.

Same thing the next morning but we actually walked underneath this group trying to move around on a gobbling bird, this was at 08:17. Its hard to see them in the pines!

at the lease by 6 and sitting by 615 CST. Good luck to everybody.
