What time getting to the woods Saturday?

I just found out that my ball got pushed a week.....so if I know exactly where the birds are....5am, had 8 sounding off this morning all within a couple hundred yards of each other......1st year where they are consistently flying down onto our property vs the neighbors.......
 
It depends on how far I will need to walk, and then how long it will take to set up the blind and get the dekes positioned just the way I want them. Should I have the strutting deke over a hen, or just out by himself? I would like to be settled in by 5:45 :D !

Dekes and blinds??? that is the old way. Just go to a field, find a strutter, and pull the fan out. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

I hunt in eastern middle TN.and have went out 2 times last week and got there about 6:15 and they started gobbling as soon as I got out of the truck.

I'm on the plateau. On the juvy hunt Saturday, I wanted to see if they were roosted where I thought, and hit the owl call, not really expecting him to answer so early. But, he boomed at 5:55, and it was still pretty dark.
 
Went to a spot the other morning and the dang toms was gobbling at 5:50 and on the ground by 6:10 right next to the access rd. Definitely weird they let me drive right by gobbling at my truck
 
Plan on arriving at 5:30 CST got a 20 minute walk gobbling started at 6:00 Saturday morning. I may have influenced some of it but by 6:10 they were cranking.
 
Probably about 6 central to actually be at a listening spot. I've got about a 45 minute walk. I'm going to go out Friday morning though and see what time they start up and where they are if the weather isn't terrible.
