I ran out of my nitros but i so have a box of 31/2 in Longbeard number 5s. im shooting an older Mossberg 835 and i have a Jellyhead choke with a .690 constriction and the factory turkey choke that goes with the gun. ive been using the Jellyhead with the Nitros, but i know they are designed for heavy shot. since I dont have a chance to pattern for the mornings hunt, should I use the Jellyhead or the factory choke in the morning? I plan on patterning my gun tomorrow, but I just wanted to see what y'all thought.

I can tell u right now the longbeards will not hit the same as the nitros. The poi will be different. Id be out there patterning it with the headlights. If u are just shooting a bead i would put the factory choke in.

Jelly head shoots Hevi yugo great but long beards aren't Hevi shot. They will shoot fine but pattern soon as possible. If a bird is within 20 yards I would consider a body shot.....

True but that jelly head slings a pretty tight group and all I'm saying is if he doesn't know how his gun shoots yet just body shoot him below the neck. Clean kill is better than a clean miss. I have missed a couple of birds bc the were so close and I tried to head shoot them. One at 10 yards

Do the right thing and pattern it. You may be surprised just how different it patterns. Kinda like deer hunting with a rifle and not checking it before season starts
