Ok you Bow Gurus!!!!

I jus got that mathews reezen and was trying to pick out some stuff to put on it??

Any suggestions???

I'm thinking the QAD Drop away rest, HHA Optimiser Lite XL....

Need some Stabilizer recommendations????

I think stabs are much like bows you should just try different ones out and see which one feels best with your bow.

I'm a fan of carbon impact gel stabs and the octane stabs are nice too.

I have heard too many horror stories about the QAD rests not funcioning properly, but some people swear by them.

I like you choice of site. I am looking for one myself. I put the brushfire on my wife's bow.

I like the Trophy taker rests so far. solid simple work great if timed properly. I have a limbdriver on order for my general.

QAD's are good rest. The new Mathews Downforce is really really nice also. The TT rest on the reezen doesnt work real well..seen alot of contact with that combo from the bows my dealer has setup.

You're gonna get different opinions from everybody on this one :)

Stabilizers kinda have two basic things you gotta pick and choose from. You can either get one that's really good at sound dampening or get one that really balances the bow out for you. I've yet to find one that does both with the same effect as having a single one better suited for what you want.

For example...hunting setup wise, I'm going for sound supression and I've personally not found anything better than the cheap Sims S-Coil. It comes in a few diff sizes but for the money and effectiveness, I don't think you can beat it. 3D setup, I shoot the hunter class so I have a 12" max restriction. But I'm shooting the 11.5 inch Octane (black/red) which really does a good job at putting the weight where it needs to be, to help in stabilization for such a medium size stabilizer.

Arrow rests...well with drop aways you either love them or hate them. I personally have tried the more popular ones and I still always come back to the basics. Right now for 3D I'm shooting a Trophy Taker lizard tongue style rest (non dropaway) and for hunting I will probably actually be shooting some kind of containment style rest. Be it the new biscuit rest or whatever. And I've noticed since I have been doing pretty decent in the 3Ds here lately, that the guys that tried selling me off on the drop aways, have shunned them and are shooting exactly what I got on my bow now.

I have had good luck with whisker biscuit rests for hunting , as well as a ripcord and trophy taker drop aways . I set my bows up strictly for hunting ,so I tend to lean towards containment style rests for function and simplicity .

I used an S coil for a while on my hunting bow. I added a Doinker A bomb btwn it and the riser to extend it a bit and it helped with balance. I now use a 11" AEP stab that balances the bow well.
