I haven't shot my TC Hawken 45 in quite awhile but I remember shooting balls into the same hole. I even put a tang peep on it to help with that. Not sure if they offered different twists over the years but the maxi's were designed to work well with the ball twist.

I would not fear hunting with my Hawken with ball. Like EVERY SHOT, wait for it. Put it in the right spot.
