I've had this buck on cam since the beginning of the rut, he's a bully, half rack and likes to fight. He's a healthy deer but mid December looks like he got a good injury fighting these are recent pics and you can see the nasty swollen spot on his neck. Think it's just a big puss ball or what? Never seen this before this bad. I've passed him multiple times before and after injury.

Bet it is a big ole puss ball, and it would not be very appetizing popping that zit.

May eventually reabsorb. Really depends on whether his immune system will kick whatever kind of infection he may have.

You have 3 pics, 8759, 8760, and 8758, in that order. It looks like his half rack is on the right in 8759 and 8760, but on the left in 8758. Is it two different deer or did you flip 8758?

But that swelling is huge! Dr Pimple Popper would have a fun time with that!

I had a buck this year with a big abscess near the back of his jaw, where it meets the neck. It eventually popped, drained, and healed up. He is fine.

It's the same deer he only has his right side but I see what your saying it looks like his left side in 8760
