If it wasn't for the vols giving up 550+ yards, and 30pts to bowling green in last year's opener I would be little more worried. People saying they where gonna tank the season after that game also.

Tn showed they can play with anyone after beating a Sun Belt conference team in OT. I think they will skirt right through pretty easy and be crowned National Champions for the 2016 season.

I thought about that as well. They did definitely toughen up last season, but the last six games on their schedule were gimmies. I just think the vols football players are getting the raw end of the deal by not being coached as well as they deserve.THEdonkey0515":5fmuu9xe said:

Very well may be didn't looked coached well at all yesterday I will agree.... Dobbs throwing balls up for grabs under pressure. Should have been picked 3 times at least yesterday just for bad reads/decisions. Could have cost them the game with that fumble in the end zone on another questionable decision to jump and extended the ball.Mudbone":ilj0hl9b said:

Hurd fumbling never had an explosive run.
Play calling bad.
Defense pulled together in the 2ed half holding them scoreless got a turnover. Only chance they really had was that 40+ yard FG in half number 2.
It is a very similar start to last season. Last 5 games again are very winnable. SC, Tennessee tech, Kentucky at home, Missouri at home, vandy.
Vols just gotta take care of business in Bristol. Start the year 3-0 which would be better then last year's 2-1 start. Steal a game or two against florida, Georgia A&M Or bama.
And they still have a 9 or 10 win regular season. Just not ready to give up on the season because a bad week 1 like last season.
But I agree coaching looks as if it's holding the team back I would like to see if they can bounce back from yesterday kinda like last year.
