What's up with old hickory dam?

TVA schedule says 2+ generators and spilling till further notice. Been checking it the past couple weeks and hasn't changed. Have we had that much rain? I just want to do some bank fishing in the Cumberland in west nashville. But don't want to use 1 pound sinkers just to keep the bait down. Usually by this time the flow has slowed?
