Where will you be Opening Day?

Knox county, taking some kids to a few local farms. My personal opener will be on Monday high in the mountains.

Probably Yanahli unless I get some private land to hunt before then (would be a miracle to get some of the good land in Williamson)...I would preferably like to hunt alone on opening day but I'll take up TurkeyBurd's offer anytime...(Burd I'm guessing you will want the hunt to yourself on opening day as well?)

I'm guessing opening morning will give me a good idea of the heavier and less traveled areas on the WMA, assuming that's where I hunt on opening morning, and hopefully I won't find trucks parked in both of the spots I have picked out. You got to hike a distance to get to both of them, that's why I picked them along with the mix of trees/fields and close proximity to the river.

Don't bet on it and the distance won't matter when you are talking about turkey hunters. There isn't a spot on Yanahli that's too far for most turkey hunters to walk.

Fising at Pickwick because I hunt public land. I don't want to have to deal with all the opening day wanna-bes.

You know the kind that buy the latest gadget call and a box of shells from Wal-mart the night before the opener.

You better enjoy rubbing elbows if your going to hunt Yanahli opeing morning. It will be covered up.
