Where will you be Opening Day?

not sure. If this rain keeps up, my place will be flooded out. flooded now. I do have a backup but it is public land so no gar-run-tees. may go fishing.

Franklin County either at Owl Hollow Mill or AEDC. Heck, I may even end up at Bear Hollow wma before the weekend is up.

Lord willin my farm in Williamson Co. I Might stay home and get after these mountain birds though...

I remember about 4 years ago I woke up on openin mornin, got dressed and ready to go, and stepped off the porch into 6in of snow.

Taking my boys close to home here on the Juvenile, then we will likely hit some public ground on the opener before it gets called to death! We dont have to travel to find good Turkey hunting here in East TN. plenty of Mtns with Royal Blue, Gobey, New River, etc. All loaded with Turks!

hopefully I won't find trucks parked in both of the spots I have picked out. You got to hike a distance to get to both of them, that's why I picked them along with the mix of trees/fields and close proximity to the river.

Don't bet on it and the distance won't matter when you are talking about turkey hunters. There isn't a spot on Yanahli that's too far for most turkey hunters to walk.

Yes that's the problem with Yanahli, it may be close to 13,000 acres but there are roads going thru it everywhere. I'll just share the land and hope for the best and won't use an gobbler calls or decoys...

Gobey is in my neck of the woods, if you get up this way this season holler at me if ya want get together and get after em.

TurkeyBurd don't forget to ride the ATV to settermans honey hole. And blow some locator calls while riding.
