I have been on two trips and have shot one. I heard maybe 10 gobbles in six days. Saw several birds both trips, they just didn't gobble good.
The one I did shoot mute or half gobbled like two or three times. Can't hear it over 70-100 yards.

I reckon they get so much hunting pressure down there and even more predators to deal with they just don't gobble good. They are awesome though and my favorite besides big gobbling easterns.
