Who has already killed your best buck?

I think I've killed my biggest because of where I have to hunt now and my age . Desire is dwindling as well . I've been fortunate enough to kill some really decent bucks but no monster . The Lord has blessed me in the past with alot of deer but those days are long gone . Biggest was a tad over 133" gross net 127 3/8" 11 point in 84 . Got several in the 120+" range mounted couple good 10 points and 9 points . My special isn't my biggest but a pie-bald 8 point . Missed out once in norther Giles on a big 10 point that was at least in the 140 " + range or could have been bigger because his body was huge . Just couldn't get a clear shot ....seen him twice.

I got my best to date this year with a crossbow in Missouri this November. Private land that I lease for a week. 150 1/8. 10 point. I have seen bigger bucks there but out of range. Got him back already. Its good to have a friend who is a taxidermist. 😁

I would consider suing the neighbors for reducing the value of my property and enjoyment. The headache might be enough for them to think twice before killing all the deer to rot. I bet there are other neighbors and county residents that feel exactly the same.

Perhaps farmers that want depredation permits should first be required to open their lands for a rifle hunt at the end of October before all the shooting starts. Hunters could apply to hunt like a quota hunt and be matched with the landowners. Make it a earn a buck program for a week. I would apply and would love to access some private farmland with too many deer.

There has to be a better solution then the current program.
I agree. Well put.

I set a goal for myself 14 years ago to try and kill 30 P&Y class bucks. I have been fortunate enough to take 10 with my compound and 1 with my recurve. I killed what I thought would be my best Tn buck last year @ 167-6/8" gross P&Y however this year I was blown away by topping him with a 188 6/8" gross P&Y. I'm 38 years old and have no intentions of letting up on em 😉… Midwest you've been put on notice!

This is impressive! Let's see some pictures.

I probably have. My biggest came from LBL and next 4 or 5 biggest came from Fort Campbell. The biggest I've killed from my area was between 115 and 120. We quit going to LBL and Fort Campbell about 4 years ago because we started seeing more hogs than deer at LBL and the hassle to get to hunt at Fort Campbell. I still love to hunt so I guess there's always a chance.
