Who has already killed your best buck?

i'm going to have to get out more to kill ANYTHING, much less beat my best so far. he's nowhere near as large as many i see on here, but i'm proud of him. his main beams cross in front, overlapping a bit. killed him (pretty 8) with the open-sighted Marlin 336 my father gave me as an early Christmas present 53 years ago...miss you, Dad...

Opening day of rifle 2006 Moore County. It might be my best one. I guess we will see what the future brings.

This one scored 145 and looking at the places I have access to, I have serious doubts I'll ever kill another this big. Kinda sucks to think about that but I honestly care more about age than antler so as long as I still have some mature bucks to chase I'll be happy.

151.5 gross, never saw it on camera before I killed it. It was the first day of my huntcation Dec 18, 2021. Had a rain squall come through around 8:30am, and he followed 3 yearling does and a good 8 point into the field I was hunting around 20 minutes after the rain quit. Shot him at 65 yards and he took 5 steps before dropping in the middle of the field.

How wide was that one and what were the gps coordinates?
It was about 23" wide and was shot about 150 yards off of Hwy 64 a few miles west of Somerville. Don't have land access anymore sadly.

His rack was so wide, people could see it sticking about my truck bed and a couple hunters flagged me down wanting to see it. When I got it to the processor,I said just cut the antlers off and the young kid refused stating that I HAD to do a shoulder mount.

After arguing, his grandfather came, took the saw from the kid and said the customer is always right.

Going to be tough to top my two best (first two pictures below). First is 157 1/8" and the second is 156 0/8". Although we've photographed a few that might be close. Pictures 3-6 are bucks photographed on the property that might top those two scores.
