A 6.5 creedmoor? Why all the hate? Mine shoots stupid accurate. Is it bc it is a fade? But will it kill deer? Just curious who has real deer hunting experience with one as I am probably carrying mine this year in the woods

Let me tie up my man bun while I type this. I hunt with a creedmoor and I'm not ashamed. It's not magical. It just shoots good and does what it is supposed to do. #comingout #weightoffmyshoulders #imnotsurewhathashtagsdobutIfeellikeIrockedit

Freaking hilarious

Have killed 30 or so TN whitetails with a .260 Rem since 1999, 14 with a wildcat very similar to the 6.5 Grendel, and 1 with a 6.5 CM(only hunted once)…6.5s rock IMO…but truth is any round within reason will work if the hunter does his/her part…I like the 6.5s because of higher sectional density, great accuracy, lower recoil, good ranging ability and etc…

Have a couple 6.5 creedmoors and they are very accurate. Yet to kill anything but paper with them, but fully expect the eldx I have handloaded will perform similarly to the 308 eldx, that have given bang flops on everything I have shot with them.

No man bun but do feel I'm losing testosterone as I age out. Been hunting with a 6.5 creed the las 2 years. It's the most accurate gun I own.

it may fail tomorrow but so far 3 for 3...

Nothing wrong with the Creedmost-est. Its more likely the exuberance exhibited by its biggest fans that deters some from trying it.

You can ask for advice on a short action cartridge and specify that you're not interested in the Creedmost-est, and people will still bring it up. It's almost like Tourette's Syndrome.

Same thing that used to happen with the 7-08 ( which is also a fine cartridge), just not as much lately.

Ive been shooting .264" cartridges for years-6.5 Swede and 6.5-284 Norma. Personally I believe .264 bullets are a very suited to kill whitetail deer.

I think many people worry most about the manbun guys that buy a 6.5 creedmoor and suddenly expect to make one shot kills at 2 miles with no long range experience.

Not hating on the 6.5 manbun- I bought one for my son.

If I didn't already have a .308 (and a bunch of ammo for it), I'd buy one in a heartbeat. These days all you need is one of those two or some other short-action cartridge bigger than a .243. Hard to beat for ammo availability, generally-speaking.
