Who would spend $17 on a fishing lure?

The giant spoon is 17 bucks because of metal prices. If you made one yourself, it would cost you $10 for the metal, and the take you 3 hours to put together by hand if you knew what you were doing. Your hourly rate would be worse than working at Walmart.

I was just in academy sports. They have a johnson sprite copy that is 3 inches and 3/4 oz for $2.29. If this were to actually take off, I could easily see copy cats come out by next season for less than half of what they are asking.

Let's just say I have a few of the Spoon's in my boat lol. I have spent the same for XD10'S and the live target baits. So yes I have spent a few buck's on lure's Do they work? I can't complain so far with them.

Keep in mind it also depends on what you are fishing for.... Go look at the price on some of the big Musky baits.... or striper baits....

17$ isn't really high in todays prices. I also own some high dollar baits but I wont buy them until Im sure they are the real deal!
