Count me in as usual. goal #1 is a longbeard (never kilt one in fall) and goal #2 is no poults. Yeah it's hard to tell sometimes. Also need a couple hens for the wing bones to make calls. Who's in? Before you say "it's not the same as spring" I know that, it's FALL season. So who is in?
ain't much meat on a poult, not worth it to me personally, but a fawn has the best meatHollar Hunter said:catman529 said:Who is going to shoot one if you get the chance during archery season, and who is going to go with a shotgun during fall turkey season and try to kill a couple? So you shoot spotted fawns but draw the line at shooting poults?

yep just cut the first three bones out or just boil the wings and then you can eat the meat (its good) and clean out the marrow and bleach em just a little, cut to fit together, superglue, and finish.Southern Sportsman said:infoman jr. said:I killed my first one Saturday. You only use the bones inside. Ticks won't hurt a thing. Send em my way.
Been there done that! not the call, the uh... High pitched partinfoman jr. said:I know the bones wouldn't be affected. I just didn't feel like handling the bird any more than I had to. The call would have been rather, ahem, high pitched if you know what I mean.
