Yeah I am bored.
Just curious as to why "your" team is that?

NFL - Green Bay Packers. When I was little, VERY little, my favorite relative gave my brother a Packers helmet that was cut in half and mounted in a shadowbox like frame.
I liked it and they were then my favorite team.

MLB - Boston Red Sox. My very first baseball glove had the signature of Jim Rice in it. My big brother bought me that glove.
'nuff said.

College - TN was my team after a friend of mine got me into listening to the games on the radio. John Ward made it fun to listen. When they were on tv I would turn the sound down and listen to him on the radio.
Probably haven't watched an entire game since he retired.

When I was in junior high,my favorite pro team was the Los Angeles Rams and Roman Gabriel was the QB.I started liking the UT Vols also when I was in junior highschool!!

I don't really have a favorite NFL team, or any pro sport team for that matter. I'm a college junkie, been a Gator fan sense I was little as most of the men in my family were. I'm from north central Florida. Of course when I was real little I just followed along, really got into it when I started playing in my early teens.

My Sister went there, but John Ward with that all famous "It Football Time in Tennessee.
MLB - NY Yankees, Mantle, Maris, Berra.
NFL - Started out Cowboy fan until Jerry Jones, then switched to Bronco ever since Elway days, although Packers are my second favorite.
NBA - Grizzlies

BUT my Favorite sport is Womens Beach Volleyball, I love their uniforms. :D

Remember when my uncle use to sit by the radio and holler for the St. Louis Cards. When he past away he was buried with a foul ball he caught on his only trip to their game. Every time I watch them I can hear Uncle Jesse holler for the Oz, Tommy Herr, Vince Coleman and so on.

I grew up going to games at Neyland, went to my first game when I was 1 and haven't stopped since! Both my kids went to their first games at 10 months old. (Birthdays are January 15 & 16) I love that place, the atmosphere is unbelievable! I plan to take the boat and be part of the Vol navy this season also, I've never experienced that. Maybe start a new tradition. It just doesn't get any better than Tennessee football in my opinion!

As for pro I've never really been a big NFL fan I do follow Manning and the only 2 NFL games Ive been to were to watch him play. When I played ball we went to Philip Fulmer football camp and got to do a bunch of drills with the players and I got to pass with Peyton which was really cool. On the last day my dad and I waited on him outside the weight room and got his autograph, I'll never forget that!! Very humble classy guy! The ball has authenticated and now sits in a glass box.

I was born in Miami and lived there in the 70s during the Fins hay-days. Later my parents moved us to North FL in the 80's and I lived up the road from G-Ville. Been there on a recruiting trip and Hung out at UF with buddies when I was in H.S...... Never was carded at the doors of the Frat house.... :tu:

MLB - I pull for the Yankees, but I no longer keep up with it. Too many games in a season and each game is too long. Haven't watched MLB in several years. Yankees were who my dad liked, and I picked it up from him. I was a fan when I was little with Mattingly and Dave Winfield and Ricky Henderson right on up through the early to late 90's.

NFL - Titans because they're the local team. (I was 16 when they relocated)

NBA - pull for the Grizzlies, but rarely watch them. NBA is just not my style

NCAA - Ole Miss... because that's where I went. I didn't know it was possible to truly love a sports team / institution like that. It just gets in your blood.
"The University is buildings, trees, and people. Ole Miss is mood, emotion, and personality. One is physical, and the other is spiritual. One is tangible, and the other intangible. There is a valid distinction between The University and Ole Miss even though the separate threads are closely interwoven. The University is respected, but Ole Miss is loved. The University gives a diploma and regretfully terminates tenure, but one never graduates from Ole Miss."

I was born, raised, and lived my whole life in the great state of Tennesee. My Dad was/is a Tennessee fan. I don't think I ever had a choice. John Ward, the orange uniforms, the power T.

I grew up playing baseball and lived for the game. The Cardinals were the closest team and my uncle would go to games and bring me back souvenirs. All the great players sealed the deal. Especially Ozzie Smith. I loved listening to Jack Buck on the radio. Now, it's even sweeter because the Redbirds are here and I get to see a lot of the players play here.

I was born a Vol fan, some of my earliest memories are going to the games with my papaw, I don't know how old I was. We went to several games a year and when we were not in Neyland, we were watching on tv with the volume muted and john ward on the radio. I have been a diehard Vol my whole life, win or lose, good or bad.

I don't really have a favorite NFL team, growing up I liked 49's because of Montana and I liked the raiders because I played midget ball for the raiders and I really liked Bo Jackson(wish he was a vol).

baseball growing up I liked the white sox mainly because my neighbors were Cubs fanatics so I started rooting for the white sox just to be different from them. I liked the Braves also because their games were broadcast here a lot more.

Basketball was the bulls because of Jordan, Pippen

When I was five years old my dad used to put me and my younger brother to bed, and once my brother was sleeping he would come and get me up and take me to memorial gym to watch Vanderbilt play. Those games are some of the best memories I have of spending time with my dad. Mlb, I like the Braves, but Ozzie smith was my favorite player.

I was born in Atlanta and raised on Braves baseball; didn't care for football, knew nothing about it, and no one else in my immediate family did either. My fam moved to Knoxville when I was 7 due to my dad's job, and upon arriving I was told by all of the locals that I was now a vols football fan whether I liked it or not. I explained that I didn't know or care about football, but I was told that didn't matter, as most vols fans didn't know anything about football either... It was about the atmosphere, loyalty, etc. The more I resisted, the harder they tried to cram it down my throat, so I began to root for anyone who played the vols... I would not follow the tune of the Southland piper.

Fast forward to my teenage years and I got into football. At first I rooted for the Gators, as they were UT's biggest rival at the time, and I liked Danny Wuerffel. But I couldn't stand that ego centric jerk Spurrier, and after a couple of years I decided that since I was from Georgia, and I really liked that new coach Mark Richt, I would start following the DAWGS. Needless to say, I still can't stand Spurrier, but he is a great coach and really owns UGA.

I have rooted for the DAWGS since, but I like to think of myself as pretty level-headed and a general college football fan who can see the good and bad in other teams and not feel like I am selling out when I just tell the truth. Most fans have a hard time doing that, and I really don't get it...

I don't have favorite teams. I have favorite payers. My favorite players must first be people of integrity and plan in a manner I enjoy. I find watching football much more enjoyable when you can enjoy it for the quality of play and competition, without having to adhere to ancient loyalties and grudges. I watch every game that is on or dvr them. my dvr fills up really quick in the fall. drives my wife crazy

I am a packers / colts man in these playoffs, because of Luck and Rodgers. great players and very good people off the field.

I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa during the Coach Bryant days.
Nothing like a Saturday at Bryant Denny stadium!

I don't really have a pro sports team.

I lived in Alabama until I was 22. I remember listening to Alabama Football games with my grandfather in the Dove field at an early age, but I really wasn't much into sports at all until I moved to Oklahoma in 1999. They (their arrogance) forced me into the role of an Alabama fan...just because I came from Alabama. Alabama and OU had a home-home series in like 2001 and 2002 when OU was a power-house and Bama was struggling during the Shula/Franchioni days. OU was favored by double digits each game but Bama gave them a scare in both games.

There isn't much more enjoyable that sitting in a dove field listening to a football game...and I still love to hate the Sooners.

NFL: Titans. I remember seeing the Music City Miracle, and that sold me. I love gimmick plays like that! I also like other teams (Green Bay, New England, Pittsburgh to name a few), but the Titans are first.

College: Didn't watch college ball growing up, so I don't have that deep rooted tradition that many on here have. I'd watch a game once in a while, but always had other things I wanted to do. Fast forward to 2005. I was watching an Alabama game (don't remember who they were playing), and liked the way they played. They won. I remember seeing Tyrone Prothro play before he broke his leg...he was a good receiver. Oh, and this was before Saban joined Alabama, and Mike Shula was the coach. :)

Since then, I've grown to like Arkansas and Florida. I got to watch an Arkansas/LSU game with my cousin (who lives near Fayetteville), where they played for "The Boot". They lost. :D My cousin gave me the cliff notes on Arkansas football, and I started keeping up with them ever since.

And Tennessee, mainly because I live in TN.

Baseball: Never had a favorite team. I just like to watch the games.

Basketball: Never was a fan then, not a fan now...neither NBA nor College. I might watch a few games during March Madness, but that's it.
