Im looking for some suggestions for recipes for wild hog roast/hams.

I have overdone the pulled pork, smoked bbq thing and want a different flavor profile.

Anybody have some good recipes for a different style of pork ?

Wild pork is so close to farm raised with the exception of a little less fat that pretty much any pork recipe will work. I did try a german recipe once called drunken wild boar which was really good but I can't find the recipe. My ex-wide ( typo but leaving it) stole my german cookbook. There are some for it on the internet but they are not the one I used. They call for gin and vermouth and juniper berries and that was not the recipe I used. I think I used red wine. It was a stew that you served over noodles. Pork grillades and grits is really good too if you like grits.

Nice roast in the crockpot and veggies good too. Also consider making sausage, breakfast sausage real easy to make. Porkloins cut into 1-1.5in boneless chops on the grill very good. Bacon?? Pork loin cut and butterflied stuffed with whatever you want. Trimmed fried up diced pork pieces and make cabbage rolls with rice and other veggies.

Lat time I killed a hog, I took the entire ham, bone in, covered in a brown sugar based rub. I used an orion cooker (You need to check these out!) they are a charcoal convection cooker. I filled the bottom of the cooker with sliced granny smith apples, put the ham on top, then covered it with more sliced apples, then covered with Honey. took about 4 hours to reach 160. pulled it out for a rest then sliced. I was just throwing stuff together when I cooked it but it turned out great!
